Who are we:

Students that care about Agronomy. A fair number of our members do not have majors in the Agronomy Department. Many have farm backgrounds, some have majors in other schools within the university, and some have many friends within the department. Everyone is welcome to join!

What we do:

We are a very active club. Our weekly meetings are composed of supper, business matters, and activities. The supper is provided by the club, with the officers responsible for setting it up. Often it is pizza, but in the past we have enjoyed lasagna, bratwurst, hamburgers, cold meat sandwiches, tacos, soups, and other meals. The business matters are items like planning for national meetings. The activities we have at the end of the meetings are well cataloged in the Activities page.

Service Projects:

Happy Hollow, Lilly Praire Seedlings, High School Soil Invitational, High School Crops Invitational.

National/Regional Meetings:

An important part of our club is SASES meetings. We are part of the national body of Students in Agronomy, Soil and Environmental Sciences (SASES). As part of this society, we are invited to the national meeting in the fall and several regional meetings in the spring. Last fall we traveled to Denver and are looking forward to Seattle this fall.

How to Join:

Come to our meetings!! The standard meeting starts at 5:45 in Lilly 3-418 with supper. Check the schedule to insure that we are having a meeting for the given date (click here for the schedule). If you enjoy the meeting, dues are $8.00 per semester. A fair portion of these dues go the national body, SASES.
