Welcome to the "front door" of my GeoSpatial Crop Management Web site. The purpose of this site is to document the goings on of the research and demonstration in geospatial crop management that I am involved with at Purdue University. The general objective of the research and demonstration activities is to evaluate geospatial crop management technologies and develop strategies for implementing their use in Indiana corn and soybean production systems.
The majority of these geospatial activities are being conducted at
the
Davis-Purdue Ag. Center (DPAC)in Randolph County, Indiana. A
few others have been or are being conducted at other
Purdue Ag.
Centers or in collaboration with on-farm cooperators around the state. Most
are being conducted under the auspices of Purdue's multi-departmental
Site-Specific Management
Center. Most are also, by default, the result of extensive collaboration
with a number of Purdue colleagues who are also working in this area of
interest.
The following links lead you to a number of aspects of our efforts in this exciting new world of geospatial crop management technologies. I recently decided that this whole site needed an extensive overhaul, so the list is quite short at the moment. The list will eventually lengthen as I slowly summarize the reams of geospatial data that have been collected over the past several years.
