| Variability in soil exchangeable K levels at a depth interval of 5 to
15 cm (2-6 inches) from sampling areas just 4.6 m (15 feet) apart in one
field at a Purdue University Research Farm. Soil series was a contributing
- but not the only - factor in accounting for the fertility variability
encountered at the beginning of a trial to determine effects of tillage
