Styrofoam:
We discussed ideas and ways to get involved in lessening the use of styrofoam
on campus. If you have any ideas please let us know and we will discuss more
about it at the next meeting!
T-Shirts:
We are still working out the details and will have more information at the
next meeting.
Campus Clean-Up:
This activity involves cleaning up the fliers posted on the sidewalks. We
decided it would be better to do this next semester.
Battery Recycling:
We are still interested in doing this project, and we are getting started with
working out all the details.
Fund raising:
We still need more ideas for next semester. We discussed selling coffee and
donuts in the morning next semester.
We also talked about possibly going to a cave in Southern Indiana next
semester and Brad is getting information about the Adopt-A-Highway program.
We are also looking into certifying more members in the Hoosier Riverwatch
program. Also, Dr. Graveel talked about getting involved in a grant opportunity
designing a project for Katrina Relief. He will be sending out an email soon
with more information.
T-Shirts:
We voted on a final design. We will be using the design with the slogan "Lend a
hand, Help the land" on the back and the ESC logo we created on the front
pocket. The shirts will be under $10 with a minimum order of 12. There will be
more specifics at the next meeting.
Battery Recycling:
We discussed possible questions for a survey to ask students about their
willingness to recycle batteries. More information is still being gathered and
will be discussed at the next meeting.
Social Event:
We will be bowling at the Union on Thurs. Nov. 17 at 7pm!!!! It should be fun
so everyone should come out so we can get to know each other a little better!
Fund raising:
We discussed ideas for possible fund raising next semester. These ideas
included: selling donuts in the morning, selling cotton candy again at Spring
Fest, something for Valentine's Day...etc. If anyone has any good ideas please
let us know!!
We also discussed volunteering at the Celery Bog next semester. The next
meeting will be Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6pm. The meeting room will be announced
later. Hope to see you all then! If you have not paid the $5 (for the year)
dues please bring them to the next meeting!
