Purdue Corn Performance Program

Corn Map Wanatah (Pinney) Evansville DeMotte Milford Columbia City (NEPAC) W. Lafayette (ACRE) Throckmorton Muncie Rushville Shelburn Washington Butlerville (SEPAC) Welcome to the Purdue Corn Performance Program webpage. It is our goal to provide quality unbiased data for producers and companies.

If you don't see your favorite hybrid or company represented in the Purdue trials contact your seed representative and encourage them to participate.

Remember that multi-year, multi-location data is best for predicting future hybrid performance. Single year and especially single site data is of very limited value when making hybrid selections for the coming year.

Shelburn This location had some emergence trouble so we cut back the population to 26,800ppa on every plot.
You will see that there was no lodging and all the stands are listed at 100%. Rainfall was good through July but shutoff in August. Yield levels were still very good considering population and weather.

West Lafayette Weather was fairly good to us in W. Lafayette. We had timely rainfall in June and July. It must have been enough because the yields are very good. The Central Early and Mid test is all that we have harvested for now.

Columbia City (NEPAC) Yields were very good at NEPAC. Even though conditions were dry early there were enough isolated showers to keep plants from getting too stressed. LSD's were a little higher. I think because of the wide range in yields.
