Extension:
Develop educational
efforts involving soybeans, small grains, canola, and specialty crops utilizing
(a) presentations at county, area, and statewide meetings, workshops, and field days
(b) printed materials for general distribution
(c) mass media
(d) production problem identification in cooperation with the Plant and Pest Diagnostic
Laboratory
and by individual problem field observations.
Research Areas:
Soybean row spacing and population.
Effect of cover crops on the yield and quality of wheat.
Develop a sound production
system including date of planting, seeding rate, nitrogen fertilization,
micronutrient fertilization,
and variety performance for winter canola.
Re-evaluation of soybean inoculation.
The effect of simulated hail damage on the yield of soybeans.
