Research Areas:
Mineralogy and surface chemistry of fibrous clays and aluminum hydroxides
Interaction of clays with cell membranes
Adsorption of organic compounds by soils and clays
Movement of fertilizers and pesticides in the soil
Spectral reflectance characteristics of soils
Soil pH and its relationship to weed growth and soil development
Co-developed and patented a soil organic matter sensor to aid in site-specific
management of soils.
