Downloading and Installing the Transect for Indiana Software

Note: "Downloading" means copying files to your personal computer from an on-line service, rather than from a diskette or CD-ROM.

When you're ready to download the software

Click here to download InstTsIN.exe

The software is distributed as an installation program named InstTsIN.exe. When you click on the above link, your browser will prompt you with a Save As dialog box. In the Save in box, select the folder where InstTsIN.exe should be saved. For example, you might save the file to your computer's Temp folder.

Once you've selected a folder, click the Save button and downloading will begin.

Installing the software after downloading

Once you've successfully downloaded InstTsIN.exe, you're ready to install the software, as follows:

Click the Start button and click Run.
Type c:\temp\insttsin and click OK. This runs the setup program, which installs the software.

Note: If you downloaded InstTsIN.exe to a different folder, substitute your folder for c:\temp.

Tip: After you've successfully installed the software, you can delete InstTsIN.exe from your hard disk.
