TURF
ALUMNI NEWS June 2001 |
![]() |
We have interviewed three excellent candidates to fill the vacancy left by Clark Throssell. The candidate pool was very strong and each of the three brings a slightly different strength. This position will have predominantly teaching responsibilities as well as some research and extension duties. The candidates interviewed for two days each, presenting a teaching seminar, a research seminar, and meeting with a wide variety of faculty and staff associated with the turfgrass teaching program. We expect an offer to be tendered in early June. However, by the time all of the details are worked out, we don't expect the replacement to be in place much before the first of the year. We will keep you posted on the progress.
