Introduction

Welcome to the first Annual Report of the Turfgrass Science Program. This report replaces the bulkier Turfgrass Research Report that was distributed at Turfgrass Field Days in the past. Though that report was packed with research reports and data, we felt that it was losing its usefulness because few people had time to read the entire book. Therefore, we have streamlined the research report summarizing projects that have been completed or are near completion including the most useful data. We feel that this improvement will make the book more usable to you, the professional end-user. If you have suggestions on how to improve this book or any other aspect of the Turfgrass Science Program please call us at 765-494-8039.

The report is not a complete recording of all data collected by the researchers, but it reflects the highlights of their work. If you want more information on a project not included in this report, please contact the individual that conducted the research.
