Giant Ragweed Management in Roundup Ready Systems
Giant ragweed is one of the most problematic and competitive weeds in corn and soybean in the eastern cornbelt.    Management is complicated because of erratic performance of many soil applied herbicides on this weed, multiple emergence events during the early part of the growing season, and frequent occurrence of herbicide resistant biotypes.  This presentation will discuss the competitive ability of giant ragweed and various management tactics with specific emphasis on biotypes that have developed resistance to ALS herbicides and glyphosate.
