You can tell this is common lambsquarter because of the characteristic leaves.  The leaves are commonly light green and covered with a mealy, white substance that appears as if someone has sprinkled powdered sugar on the plant. The leaves are irregularly lobed and basically triangular in shape. The inflorescence on common lambsquarters is green in color and contains large quantities of seed.   The seeds are commonly found with there hulls attached. With the hulls attached, these seeds are brownish-tan and shaped like 5-pointed stars.
